How to prepare

1. Place 1–2 tsp dried passionflower herb in a cup or infuser. 2. Pour 250 mL of water just off the boil over the herb and cover. 3. Steep covered for 10 minutes. 4. Strain and drink warm. For anxiety: up to 3 cups daily. For sleep: 1 cup 30–45 minutes before bedtime. 5. Allow 1–2 weeks of consistent use to fully assess the calming effect.

In Akhondzadeh et al. (2001), passionflower matched pharmaceutical oxazepam 30 mg for GAD anxiety reduction over 4 weeks, with significantly fewer occupational impairment side effects.
