Rosehip vitamin C tea: one of the richest plant sources of vitamin C for immune support, skin health, and gentle joint relief.
1. Heat water to 80°C — do not boil. Boiling significantly degrades vitamin C content. 2. If using whole rosehips, lightly crush them with the back of a spoon to increase surface area. 3. Place rosehips in a fine mesh strainer or tea infuser inside a cup. 4. Pour 80°C water over the rosehips and steep for 10–15 minutes, covered. 5. Remove strainer and ensure no tiny hairs from inside the hips have passed through — use a fine (not coarse) mesh. 6. Drink 1–2 cups daily. Naturally tart — can be sweetened with honey if desired.
Rosehips contain 10× more vitamin C than oranges, plus anti-inflammatory GOPO galactolipids and carotenoids, making this a genuinely nutrient-dense daily wellness tea.
Consistent immune and joint benefit with ongoing daily use
Use a fine mesh strainer, hairs inside rosehip shells cause throat irritation if swallowed. Moderate intake if you have a history of kidney stones.
Rosehips contain 400 to 500 mg vitamin C per 100 g, up to 10× the concentration in fresh oranges, making them one of the most practical plant-based vitamin C sources available.
